Meet Dr. Prisacari

From Moldova to Minnesota

My path to practicing medicine has been defined by transition and a search for community. I immigrated to the U.S. from Moldova at age ten and became a citizen shortly before my high school graduation. That early jarring experience of navigating an entirely new world shaped my perspective on resilience and the importance of having a place to call home.

My medical journey took me through Iowa State and the University of Missouri, where I trained in a patient-based learning curriculum. After twelve years of rigorous academics and three years practicing in a large, not-for-profit system in Northern California, I gained a clear view of the many hurdles patients face. I saw the frustration of multi-month wait times, the lack of accessibility and layers of red tape, and the difficulty of getting simple referrals. Those powerful experiences lingered with me and eventually inspired me to create a practice where the highest standard of care is delivered directly, simply, and with the patient’s time and best interests always in mind.

My Philosophy of Care

I believe psychiatry works best when it is a collaborative alliance. My approach is rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which combines mindfulness with values-based living. In our sessions, this means we aren't just looking at symptoms in a vacuum—we are looking at how you can live a life that feels authentic to you. I bring what I call "professional optimism" to our work: a belief that with the right tools and a solid partnership, meaningful change is entirely possible.

An Alliance Rooted in the Twin Cities

While my training took me across the country, Minneapolis has been my anchor for over a decade. It is where my family is and it was the only place I considered when deciding where to open my private practice. My North Star is guided by three anchors – trustworthiness, mastery, and shared trust – and they shape both my practice and what I hope to help build in this community that I love.

I hope to earn the privilege of getting to know your story. Let’s work together to build an alliance…to build a life rooted in what matters most to you.
