Meet Dr. Prisacari
Moldova to Minnesota
I grew up surrounded by change, learning to be highly attuned to people’s perspectives and personalities. I moved to the Midwest from Moldova when I was ten years old. I felt unsure and out of place, but I was surrounded by great mentors and teachers, feeling supported and understood.
I completed my Bachelor’s of Science at Iowa State University in Nutritional Science and went on to University of Missouri for medical school and psychiatry residency. After graduation, I worked for several years in a large healthcare system in Northern California. During that time, I saw how hard it is for people to actually get the care they need, from long waitlists, confusing systems requiring referrals, in-network limitations, and being stuck waiting on hold at yet another call center. It didn’t sit right with me. That’s why I decided to build a practice that’s different: one where care is straightforward, respectful of your time, and focused on you as a person.
My Philosophy of Care
I believe psychiatry works best when it is a partnership. My approach is rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which combines mindfulness with values-based living. In our sessions, this means we aren't just looking at symptoms in a vacuum- we are looking at how you can live a life that feels authentic to you. I bring what I call "professional optimism" to our work: a belief that with the right tools and a solid partnership, meaningful change is entirely possible.
An Alliance Rooted in the Twin Cities
While my training took me across the country, Minneapolis has been my anchor for over a decade. It is where my family is and it was the only place I considered when deciding where to open my private practice.
At the core of my work are a few simple values: be honest, know your craft, and treat people with respect. That’s what I aim to bring to every interaction.
If you decide to reach out, my goal is simple: to listen, to understand your story, and to work together on a plan that makes sense for your life.
