FAQs

  • No, I provide my patients with a high level of personalized care. In order for me to offer top confidentiality and quality care, I do not work with insurance companies directly. However, I can provide an itemized receipt or superbill that may allow you to get reimbursement from your insurance company if you have out-of-network benefits. I accept all major Credit, Debit, ACH bank transfer, HSA cards, and Zelle for payment. Payment is due before your appointment.

  • A concierge psychiatrist is a board-certified psychiatrist who provides care through a membership or retainer-based model rather than traditional insurance. This approach allows the psychiatrist to limit their patient panel, spend more time with each patient, and offer highly personalized, proactive mental health care.

If the cost gives you pause, I understand. I encourage you to consider the value of investing in yourself. Effective ADHD treatment can help you reclaim your time, energy, and productivity in ways that truly pay off. Untreated or undertreated ADHD can take a toll on your time and potential.

  • Both. Free initial consultation calls are done virtually. First visit (initial intake appointment) will be offered in the office (preferred) or by video. Monthly follow ups are scheduled on video. For video appointments, I utilize Zoom for Healthcare, a secure and encrypted video conferencing platform. Please note that per legal regulations (Ryan Haight Act), you must have at least 1 in office visit/evaluation prior to being prescribed controlled medications. I offer convenient appointment times, including evenings and weekends. Additional arrangements may allow appointments off-site or in the privacy of your own home.

  • No, I do not complete paperwork for short-term or long-term disability or in any cases where there is secondary financial gain for the patient as it does not align with my values to serve patients who are taking ownership of their health.

  • Yes, I prescribe stimulants for ADHD treatment; however, I do not prescribe any additional controlled substances.

ADHD medications fall into two categories: stimulants and non-stimulants.  Stimulants are a class of controlled medications that are often used to treat ADHD that must be used as directed. While stimulant medications for ADHD are highly effective, they are also Schedule II controlled substances. ADHD Alliance of MN is committed to using medications as FDA approved and avoiding risks of polypharmacy. For these reasons, the following controlled medications will not be prescribed and will need to be discontinued prior to working with me:

    1. Narcotics/opioids (schedule II)

    2. Benzodiazepines (schedule IV)

    3. Testosterone (schedule III)

    4. Ketamine (schedule III)

    5. Muscle relaxers (schedule IV)

I do not start or continue these medications for my patients. If you are already prescribed one or more of these medications by a previous provider, it will be tapered and discontinued. Should this policy not meet your expectations, please continue your care with an alternative provider whose policies feel more comfortable for you.

    Other substances of concern:

    • Marijuana: use with caution. Do not combine with stimulants.

    • Alcohol: use with caution. Do not combine with stimulants.

    • Tobacco/nicotine: use with caution. Do not combine with stimulants.

Although I do not routinely perform urine drug screens, I reserve the right to request one if there is suspicion about inappropriate drug use. All patients are assumed to be abstaining from all illicit substances and must disclose any such use to avoid dangerous health risks.

All patients are asked to review and sign a Controlled Substances Agreement prior to any prescriptions written and dispensed.

  • There are 4 key factors:

First is exclusivity. Dr. Prisacari has strict boundaries on the size of her practice, which guarantees that she can devote ample time and energy into providing each patient the highest quality of her attention and expertise.

Second is our high standard of care. Because ADHD Alliance is an out-of-network practice, your treatment is determined by you and Dr. Prisacari, not an insurance company. This helps guarantee integrated, holistic care without undue delays or limitations.

Third is accessibility. Appointment times are flexible and convenient, including evenings and weekends. Additional arrangements can accommodate appointments off-site or in the privacy of your own home.

Fourth is privacy and anonymity. There are no office assistants, so your care is between you and Dr. Prisacari. No one will else know you are a patient. Appointments are booked directly with Dr. Prisacari. Your information is never released without your written request.
